How to use it

Choose an algorithm, similarity threshold, angle range and color samples per template. The step reports center, angle and similarity, then can click a center or offset with repeated searches, click retries, disappearance-as-success and explicit not-found behavior.

Find a visual target before clicking

Image recognition lets a workflow locate a button or icon in a captured image instead of relying only on its previous screen position. MacroMax supports multiple candidate templates, each with its own matching settings. This is useful when a target has several expected appearances.

  1. Capture a representative target and define its template and search region.
  2. Configure the similarity threshold and other matching parameters, then inspect a match on a sample image.
  3. Click the detected center or a configured offset. Add retry and not-found handling before using the workflow repeatedly.

What to check when a match fails

Changes in display scaling, theme, animation, occlusion or image quality can change the target appearance. Test the actual environment and use representative templates. A lower threshold can admit incorrect matches; verify the detected location rather than treating every returned result as a correct target. Use conditions to decide what happens when a target is missing.
